This book consists of two sections narrating John Stewart Collis' Second World War-time experience working on farms in the English counties of Sussex and Dorset (published together in as While Following the Plough), a further section of rather more philosophical reflection on that experience, and a final section - both narrative and philosophical - on working for a year as a forester, also during WW2 Reviews: I have just received the follow-up book, 'A Handful Of Ashes' and I can't wait to see how the life of Siana pans out.

One of the very few written in this period from the point of view of a regular soldier, rather than an officer or s: Plough Book Sales is a small part time business that deals in books relating to tractors, old engines, earthmoving equipment, live scale model making, steam power and metal working.

We do not have a shop, although an appointment can be made to call and inspect the books. Because of the part time nature of the business it is some times hard to.

The Bruderhof's Plough Publishing House publishes books and a magazine called Plough Quarterly.
